Attainment Descriptors:
- Uses the Images Canada website to select images appropriate to the group's agreed-upon photo album focus.
- Uses other resources (school and public libraries, resource centres, museums, historic sites and community and government) effectively to gather and apply information appropriate to the group's agreed-upon photo album focus.
- Records and organizes information effectively using the "Photo Analysis and Personalization" process.

Attainment Descriptors:
- Reasoned generalizations about and descriptions of life and conditions in Canada during the late 19th and early 20th centuries are expressed in the personalized historical fiction text accompanying each photo.
- Uses the student-teacher evaluation meeting in order to express and explain new insights about life and conditions in Canada during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Criterion: Produce pieces of writing using a variety of forms
Attainment Descriptor:
- Uses the five steps of the "Photo Analysis and Personalization" process as a vehicle for writing to create personalized historical fiction.

Criterion: Communicate ideas and information for a variety of purposes

- Contributes and works constructively during all five phases of creating the "Early Canadian Photo Album."
